Advanced Wheel Throwing and Hand-building on Wednesdays from 5pm-8pm (Starts on October 2nd)
This class is geared towards the student who has experience and some confidence working on the wheel or hand-builidng. The class will learn how to coil construct a form either on the wheel or hand-built, that is at least 15” tall. We will also be making a project of your choice, which I will help you design and execute through demos and instruction. You will continue to learn about aesthetic choices and make informed glaze decisions. We will work on surface development and use a wider palate of glazes.
This will be an 8 week course meeting 3 hours per week, 25lbs of clay, basic studio tools and glazes will be provided. As well as one practice session a week during your 8 week course during open studio hours. You will need to provide your own bats If you are throwing wide, flat forms that need to be left on a bat.
