Advanced Wheel Throwing and Hand-building on Wednesdays from 5pm-8pm (Starts Wednesday March 12th from 5-8pm)
This class is geared towards the student who has experience and some confidence working on the wheel or hand-builidng. This class will focus on one special project and then we will also be making a project of your choice, which I will help you design and execute through demos and instruction; a choose your own adventure, if you will. You will continue to learn about aesthetic choices and make informed glaze decisions. We will work on surface development and use a wider palate of glazes.
This will be an 8 week course meeting 3 hours per week, 25lbs of clay, basic studio tools and glazes will be provided. As well as one practice session a week during your 8 week course during open studio hours. You will need to provide your own bats If you are throwing wide, flat forms that need to be left on a bat.
Class runs the following Wednesdays: 3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16, 4/23, and 4/30
Please note, this class does require some clean-up of the wheel and studio. Also, the block of clay you will be given weighs 25lbs. Please let me know if you need any assistance prior to starting the class.
Cancellation Policy: You can cancel anytime up to the week leading up to a class start for a class credit, after that no refunds or cancellations 7 days prior to class or after it starts.
If I have to reschedule a class due to illness, I will let you know.
Please try not to miss the first class. I review a lot of information, studio policies, and demonstrations that are pertinent to your success.
